Ron was married to Chris Back for 28 years until her death in 2013.  He is the father of two children, Allison (Back) Linkhart and Alex Back.

Ron graduated with a degree in Education from Miami University and a degree in an Environmental Science related field from the University of Cincinnati. Ron was employed by the Procter and Gamble Company in Cincinnati, Ohio for over 32 years as an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager until his retirement in 2012. He is a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Mason, Ohio.

In addition to serving on the SandAngel Foundation Board of Directors, Ron also enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, music, bicycling, reading, gardening and enjoying the great outdoors.
